I have never been more moved by anything than I was by Children of the Plains. I have spent a lot of time in South Dakota and had no idea how close I had been to the Pine Ridge reservation and the conditions that exist there. I was there to vacation and see the beauty but now know how shallow my observations were. I want to do something but I want it to be something that helps and meets actual needs. My mother was born in South Dakota and we know how cold the winters are. Please direct me in the best direction or to the best group to help.
