When I first started following this blog years ago I was teaching and every chance I got I tried to pass on the information to my students, the truth. I was amazed and so were they. I told them I do not celebrate Columbus Day. In fact when other teacher were talking about Columbus and Pilgrims I was talking about the First Nations - the Indians! Over the years my education grew regarding Native Americans. I went to Pow Wows, read, studied and listened. We need to keep repeating the truth and maybe it will be heard.
